A huge thank you to Friends of Oatland Island and everyone who came out to our first-ever Easter Egg Hunt in April! 

The event helped raise money for animal care and the purchase of new mews—and we’re excited to share that the mews are here and ready to be used! 

Our new mews will provide comfortable, flexible housing for birds of prey, including hawks, owls, kestrels, falcons, and more. 

The lightweight, modular design can expand as our needs grow, be relocated or stored, and even serve as emergency housing for animals following hurricanes or other natural disasters.

Most importantly, these mews will allow us to welcome more ambassador birds behind the scenes and bring them into educational programs and special events at Oatland Island!
